Weed Control with Amenity Spraying
Weeds will appear at some stage upon grasslands and amenity areas. Weeds such as dandelions, docks, thistles, ragwort, fat hen, buttercups, speedwell, ragwort and nettles can start to grow in the best maintained areas, but they’re easily dealt with by spraying selective herbicides.
Spraying herbicides usually takes place in the spring and autumn when weeds are just beginning to appear. However, our products can be used at any time during the growing season.
Accurate Amenity Spraying Services
Spraying herbicides and pesticides directly on to some grasslands can prove difficult without strict lines to follow, however, we use intelligent GPS to ensure our spraying is accurate, efficient and cost effective. Our compact tractors are fitted with John Deere Green Star GPS with auto steer systems and Isobus, which means once set up in the area, the tractors will drive themselves. The advantage of this system is that it is incredibly accurate, efficient and fast with no overspray. What’s more, this allows us to calculate the exact size of the area that needs spraying, which helps us to calculate the amount of water and herbicide required. We also provide you with an application map along with your spray record to show you exactly what we’ve done, where we’ve sprayed and the amount of pesticides we’ve sprayed on the designated area.
Qualified & Certified Amenity Sprayers
At MC Country Services, we are fully trained and insured in all types of amenity spraying and hold the City and Guilds Part 1, Part 2 and Part 6 accreditation for application of herbicides and pesticides with tractor mounted and knapsack sprayers – It is illegal to spray any professional herbicide or pesticide without these qualifications.
